Bruce Oro, B.Comm., CELTA |
Bruce is a seasoned ESL teacher with extensive international teaching experience. Having taught in Korea, India, Europe and China, Bruce is sensitive to the cultural aspects of teaching English.
Bruce earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Alberta and went on to get his CMA (Certified Management Accountant), CELTA (internationally recognized certification to teach ESL to adults from the University of Cambridge) and is certified to teach Business English through LCCI in London, England. He is a member of TESOL Canada and has applied for TESOL Canada accreditation.
Bruce has a passion for teaching, bringing humor and sensitivity into his classes and looks forward to meeting you in his next class.

Julie Ellison |
Julie received her B.A. degree in History and Sociology from Acadia University in Wolfville Nova Scotia and her B.ED in Social and English as a Second Language from the University of Alberta. Julie has more than six years of experience teaching groups and individuals in a variety of environments. She has a passion for teaching which is evident in her caring and supportive attitude. Outside of teaching her passions include competitive volleyball, skiing and traveling.

Ric Rosborough |
A public school teacher from (1980-1998)
Private school co-founder, owner and teacher/staff member (2001-2008)
Business owner, hemp farmer, teacher, father, searcher, researcher, futurist, and personal growth enthusiast, Ric has traveled widely, competed in the junior Olympics and the Canada Summer games, competed in college level sports, built houses, stocked shelves, owned real estate holdings, planned a subdivision, and designed a 50,000 square foot, monolithic dome, school building. In all of his endeavors Ric has been a bridge between “what is” and what can be. He is a visionary, a way shower, and an explorer. A life of service is the life Ric loves. He sees GIC's ESL program as another opportunity to be of service, to the people of the Edmonton Area, Alberta and eventually across Canada and possibly the rest of North America.

Helen Reilly B.A LLM |
Helen is a well rounded English Teacher. She has taught in both the private and public school systems. She has also promoted and taught English Workshops in the business community. Helen has 4 years of teaching experience in Asia. She currently works with professional adults in the Edmonton area who are looking to improve their English in the workplace and their community at large.
Helen received her Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Political Science from the University College of Cape Breton in 1998. She also became TESL certified, this same year. She went on to complete her degree in law from the University of New Brunswick in 1999.
Helen truly enjoys the challenges and rewards that teaching English has brought to her life and she continues to challenge herself and her students each day.

Kathleen
Hall |
Kathleen has more than 25 years experience as an ESL/EFL and ELT Instructor. She
has extensive international experience, having worked with corporate clients in
Korea, Japan, and Eastern Europe.
Kathleen began her ESL career as a researcher for TESL 7 in 1981. As well as
coordinating and managing post-secondary language programs, Kathleen has
developed curriculum and workshops for Internationally Educated Professionals in
a number of fields.
Kathleen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Language and Literature at
Wilfrid Laurier University and went on to do graduate work in English at
McMaster University. She has studied Economic Geography and Social Anthropology
at Carleton University in Ottawa.
After completing her RSA/CTEFLA in 1996, Kathleen continued her professional
development with more than 20 workshops and courses, including Teaching Business
English, Problem (task-based) Learning, and Workplace Essential Skills.
Kathleen is driven by a passion for seeing her students succeed and integrate
into the Canadian workplace at a skill-appropriate level.
