Description:
The Value Methodology is a highly structured, group thinking process and is the primary technique by which value analysis, value engineering or value management is applied. Good value can be achieved through application of the Value Methodology (VM) by increasing quality and performance while at the same time reducing total cost. The Value Methodology can be applied to any product, process, procedure, project, system or service. Government, construction, environmental, industrial and service industries benefit from the VM process.

The content of the 40-hour, Value Methodology Module 1 training workshop comprises a combination of 20 hours of theory and 20 hours of project time. The workshop satisfies the requirements of SAVE International (formerly the Society of American Value Engineers) for primary value training and practice using a live project. There are specific SAVE International requirements for an interactive workshop process to address aspects of VM history, the VM job plan, function analysis, creativity, evaluation and implementation, together with "people" topics.
The intent of the training workshop is to provide the foundation for managerial growth and development of individuals in the field of VM. Participants will be able to take part in future VM study workshops under the guidance of a qualified value team leader and progress, as necessary, toward various formally recognized value practitioner qualifications.
